We just got back from the most remarkable family vacation in Majestic Greece! The flight was very straight forward from Montreal to Athens. We then continued on our journey with Aegean Airlines 50 min to Crete (Kreta) The largest of the Greek islands into Heraklion Airport. We decided to rent a vehicle to drive to the many beautiful beaches and attractions around the island. We rented a gorgeous villa (Irene Villa) Sfakaki 50 Min from the airport. https://www.ireneluxuryvilla.com .WE were welcomed with open arms in true Greek Cretan Style with a barbeque and wine. The location was absolutely perfect – only 80 metres from a private beach area with beautiful water. As well as a gorgeous restaurant and grocery store 60 metres away which is perfect for everyday needs. We dined in a few times at the very chic Pantelis Tavern Restaurant. The water in Greece is so stunning and clear. We hoped from beach to beach during our many day trips.

1.Preveli (Rethymno)
2. Elafonisi Beach
3. Plakias Beach
4. Seitan Limania
There are endless places to eat and drink 7 days a week. You guys definitely need to head to Greece. There are speed ferries available daily to Santorini. A quick 2hr ferry offered 4 times a day.
The Food was absolutely fresh and amazing. Each meal was prepared with a touch of love. Some of favourites included Saganaki, Zucchini frits, greek salad, mixed grills and baklava ice-cream off course. We walked at least 10km a day so I didn’t put on a pound(Thankfully) More Our Greek Adventure to follow soon.
