Hey there busy ladies – I know hosting can be a lot of work but I’m here to teach you a few simple tricks to make hosting FUN for the entire family. Sometimes things go smoothly and sometimes the kids eat as fast as I lay the table. Totally frustrating.
I’ve overcome this obstacle by creating a mini board to get their appetites satisfied for a little while at least. My main job is to teach them along the way and help them to embrace the quality time around the table. Seeing friends and family is so joyful and keeping things as stress free as possible is the best way to live.

Here are a few ideas that im hoping you can incorporate into your process:
-Determine the number of people you are catering for
–Create the menu
-The groceries need to be purchased
-Some things can be prepped in advance
-Consider Dietary Restrictions
-What tools do you need

Lets talk about planning your time:
I like to write a list of the items I’m preparing and a time estimate including chilling in the fridge.
There are so many cheat sheets available on the web and they look professional too (I make my daughter print them out for me)

I have a few pots I love cooking in! they are high quality and beautiful too. Le Creuset is a family favourite for generations.

Include the kids and ask for help. There are always jobs to do and cleanup off course. The table scape means a lot to me and its all about the season we are experiencing. Get creative! Pinterest is an amazing and inspiring resource. I do believe that we don’t need to have many pretty things but functional pieces too. Don’t forget to HAVE FUN!

Put on something pretty and reward yourself with a glass of your favourite wine or bubbles.
